on citizenship
recently I took my citizenship test. all you have to do is get 6 out of 10 questions correct..you have to get a D...
Then I checked the box claiming that I am a" former citizen of Russia" ...my entire identity summed up in a single sentence, and checked off in a single little box. probably the hardest part of the test.
then i lost the paper that included the location of my oath ceremony..thats where you get your american passport and new social security card (i say, as if my audience was anyone or anything other than a blank page)..it is apparently impossible to find out where said ceremony is without said paper. it is like an elite secret society where you need a password to get in, to which you can only attain your membership by waiting on a long long list, and to which you must be commited fully. Once you have done all this, oh and dont forget the test, you may then preach to the citizenship gods, or rather their only god, who looks down on you from a flat panel tv. At least i think it is a flat panel, i dont know for sure since i am still waiting for my second invitation to this particular society. i have been told that it is not good to lose government papers..because i may not get another invite....there is hope however, since i have infact recieved papers informing me that more papers are to come..
my parents were thrilled to find that after nagging for years about how i lose "everything," i have actually succeeded at loosing something..their nagging now justified.
